Vanity planning guide
Bathroom vanity sizes: plan from 32 to 112 inches.
The right width begins with the finished room, not the cabinet you are replacing. Measure the opening, plumbing, door swings, and delivery path before choosing a basin layout or finish.
Measure first
Record the room as it will be finished.
- Usable wall widthMeasure between finished walls, trim, casings, and any fixed obstruction at the vanity location.
- Height and depth limitsNote windows, outlets, switches, radiators, toilet clearance, and the planned mirror or lighting.
- Plumbing positionRecord water and waste locations from fixed reference points. Ask a qualified installer what can remain and what must move.
- Delivery routeMeasure doors, corridors, stairs, lifts, and turns between the building entrance and bathroom.
Width guide
Use width bands to narrow the search.
These bands are planning prompts, not universal room rules. Your layout, storage needs, basin choice, and local installation requirements remain the deciding factors.
| Vanity width | Often considered for | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| 32–40 in | Compact single-basin layouts | Drawer and door movement, adjacent fixtures, usable counter area |
| 44–56 in | Single-basin rooms needing more storage or counter space | Basin position, plumbing alignment, mirror proportion |
| 60–72 in | Wide single-basin layouts or the start of the RUMZENO double-basin range | Two-user spacing, duplicated plumbing where applicable, access path |
| 76–88 in | Shared bathrooms and longer furniture-like compositions | Wall level, installation support, lighting and mirror alignment |
| 92–112 in | Extra-wide primary bathrooms or made-to-measure wall runs | Room scale, sectional access, service points, installation sequencing |
Basin layout
Single or double is a room decision.
A single basin can preserve uninterrupted counter area and storage flexibility. A double-basin layout can support two users, but it also changes plumbing, drawer organization, mirror planning, and the amount of personal space at each basin.
At 60 inches and above, compare both layouts against the actual room rather than selecting by width alone.
Final check
Before you place an order.
- Confirm all dimensions against the selected product configuration.
- Check drawer, door, bathroom-door, and shower-screen movement.
- Confirm plumbing, wall support, power, and lighting with qualified trades.
- Check the delivery route and handling plan for the complete vanity.
- Keep a dated measurement sketch with the order record.
